Centre For Outreach Programs In Education

The Centre for Outreach Programs in Education (COPE) was established at the Institute in August 2015 to undertake and organize all outreach activities for the benefit of society by and large. In order to promote and popularize science education amongst youth, COPE carries out the following academic activities / social initiatives:


“Understanding Science” (In-house Outreach)
To inculcate in high school students an aptitude to appreciate the role and contribution of science in the betterment of mankind.


Ishan Vikas Program (MHRD initiative)
To introduce school children from the North-Eastern states to Institutes of higher education in India.


Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (MHRD initiative)
To nurture a spirit of enquiry and creativity, and inculcate love for science and mathematics, to improve school science facilities and mentor teachers.


Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (MHRD initiative):
To connect Institutes of higher education with local communities to address the developmentchallenges through appropriate technologies.
